1. Who we are
DriveTir Inc. ("DriveTir," "we," "us") is a Boston-based civilian-first traffic transparency platform. This policy covers drivetir.com and any related pages we operate. If you have a question about anything below, write us at info@drivetir.com and a real person — usually the founder — will answer.
2. What we collect
Right now, DriveTir is in the pre-launch / supporter phase. The only data we actively collect is what you give us through one of two voluntary actions:
- The Sign the Movement form — first name, last name, email, city, state, role (optional), a short message (optional), and whether you consent to being listed publicly.
- Direct outreach — anything you send us by email when you request the proposal packet, request a founder meeting, or otherwise reach out.
We also collect a small amount of basic site analytics through Google Analytics 4 — pages visited, country / region, device type, and how you got to the site. This data is anonymized at collection and is used only to understand which messaging is reaching people. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.
3. What we do NOT collect
- We do not collect your driver's license number, license plate, vehicle information, or any other identifier that the future DriveTir product is designed to protect.
- We do not collect biometric data, facial images, or fingerprints.
- We do not buy data about you from third parties to enrich your record.
- We do not track you across other websites.
4. Why we collect what we collect
- Your name and city — so we can publish (only if you consent) a public supporter list that we bring to the City of Boston, the press, and partners. The supporter list is the entire point of the petition.
- Your email — so we can confirm your signature, send you one launch announcement when DriveTir goes live, and reply to you if you write to us. That's it.
- Your role (optional) — so we can show the breadth of the coalition (drivers, parents, law enforcement, organizers, elected officials, etc.).
- Your message (optional) — so we can quote it (with your permission) in pitches and press.
5. How we store it
Form submissions are processed by Formspree, a third-party form provider, and delivered to a private DriveTir inbox. Formspree's own privacy policy is at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy. Email correspondence is stored in standard business email systems with encryption at rest. We do not run a customer database. We do not sync your information to a CRM that resells data.
6. Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We do not rent it. We do not trade it. The only time we will ever share your personal data with anyone is in one of these narrow situations:
- Public supporter list — only if you explicitly checked the consent box on the sign-up form, and only your first name, last initial, and city. Never your email.
- Service providers who we cannot operate without — for example, Formspree (form submissions), Netlify (website hosting), and Google Analytics (anonymized site stats). Each is bound by their own privacy and security obligations.
- If we are legally compelled by a valid subpoena or court order. If that ever happens we will, where the law allows, notify you first.
That is the entire list. If anyone — including a future investor, partner, or acquirer — ever wants more, the answer is no.
7. Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- See exactly what we have on you.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Remove your name from the supporter list (public or private).
- Delete your record entirely.
Email info@drivetir.com with the request and we will action it within seven days. No forms. No friction. No retention loops.
8. Cookies
The DriveTir site uses one set of cookies — the ones placed by Google Analytics — and they are used only for the anonymized stats described in section 2. We do not use advertising cookies. We do not use third-party trackers beyond Google Analytics. If you block cookies in your browser, the site will still work in full.
9. Children
DriveTir is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has signed up, write us at info@drivetir.com and we will remove the record.
10. Changes to this policy
If we ever change this policy in a way that materially affects how we handle your data, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of the page and, where it makes sense, notify supporters by email. We will never quietly weaken the promises in section 3 or section 6.
11. Contact
Questions about this policy, or about how DriveTir handles data, go to info@drivetir.com. A human will answer.
